Whether you ticked the marketing consent box (and the exact wording)
Signup source (hero or footer form)
Signup, confirmation, and unsubscribe timestamps
A one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store your full IP)

Website use

First-party analytics cookie (ns_sid) to count unique visitors on our server
Page view records (path, time, session id) stored on our server
Optional Google Analytics — only if you click “Accept analytics” on the cookie banner

Why we use your data and our legal bases

Marketing emails: your consent (checkbox + double opt-in confirmation). We only send marketing after you click the link in our confirmation email.
Waitlist security / abuse prevention: legitimate interest (rate limits, hashed IP).
Server analytics: legitimate interest (understanding traffic to our site).
Google Analytics: your consent via the cookie banner (where required by law).

Double opt-in

Joining the waitlist does not add you to our marketing list until you confirm via the email we send. Pending signups are not used for newsletters.

International transfers

Our website and database are hosted on servers we control. Email may be sent through our mail provider (Namecheap Private Email). If you accept analytics, Google LLC (US) may process usage data under Google’s privacy policy. Appropriate safeguards may include standard contractual clauses where applicable.

How long we keep data

Confirmed subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, or we close the waitlist.
Pending (unconfirmed) signups: we may delete these after a reasonable period (e.g. 90 days).
Page view logs: typically up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers only as needed:

Hosting and database (our VPS)
Email delivery (mailbox provider for outbound mail)
Google Analytics (optional, with your consent)

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
Withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe)
Object to or restrict certain processing
Data portability (a copy of your waitlist record)
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the UK ICO at ico.org.uk, or your local EU authority)

Unsubscribe and marketing emails

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also use the link in any confirmation email, or contact us to be removed.

United States (CAN-SPAM): marketing emails identify Neon Sovereign and include an unsubscribe mechanism. Contact us for sender identification details.

Canada (CASL): we use express consent (checkbox + confirmation) before commercial emails.

Cookies

Essential: ns_sid (visitor session, first-party) and admin session cookies if you use our internal tools.

Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies only after you accept on the cookie banner. You can change your mind by clearing site data or rejecting analytics when prompted on a fresh visit.

Children

Our site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. California residents may request access or deletion via sales@neonsovereign.store.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date will change. Material changes to how we use waitlist data may require fresh consent where the law requires it.

Global signups

Anyone may join the waitlist worldwide. You are responsible for ensuring signup is lawful in your jurisdiction; we apply this policy and consent standards to all subscribers equally.
